Overview
The Genome Sequencer FLX System's ultra-high throughput and multiplexing capabilities afford a tremendous flexibility in experimental design for the sequencing of small genomes, viruses, plasmids, or mitochondria. These samples can be sequenced with unprecedented throughput and speed, sequencing tens to hundreds on a single GS FLX Instrument run. The system's long reads typically enable the assembly of shotgun sequence data into a minimal number of contigs.
